1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Shadow Claude ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Shadow Claude is a desktop AI assistant that provides real-time transcription and AI-powered answer suggestions. The Service includes a desktop application, web dashboard, and backend infrastructure.

3. Accounts and Registration

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account or allow others to access the Service through your account.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

The Service offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Refund Policy

All payments are final and non-refundable. Once a subscription payment has been processed, no refunds will be issued, including for partial months, unused tokens, or early cancellation. By subscribing, you acknowledge and accept this no-refund policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the application
• Share, resell, or redistribute access to the Service
• Use automated means to abuse the Service or circumvent usage limits
• Create multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limitations

7. Privacy and Data

Audio processing occurs entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your audio data. Text queries are sent to our backend for AI processing. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by Shadow Claude and protected by intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal purposes.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated answers will be accurate or appropriate for any particular purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shadow Claude shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notice.
